A Letter from Talii 💌

Hi friends!

      I wanted t take a moment to tell you what’s been happening lately and to share what’s been stirring in my spirit.

We’re about a month out from tour—and life’s been moving so fast. But I wanted to slow it down for just a moment and let you in while I begin to process the past couple months. Back on April 26, I hosted a release event for “Do Whatever” in my hometown of Orlando. It was the first time I’d ever hosted any type of event before , and also the first time I ever sold merch. every piece was handmade by me . I designed and pressed T-shirts and tote bags , bedazzled the cutest lighters and made zines in my bedroom. Im so grateful to everyone who came through and spent time with me , bought a piece of merch , or sang along to one of my songs. It meant more than words could describe and it really showed me how incredible my community truly is . 

The following weekend, I flew to New York for a women-only writing camp hosted by grammy nominated producer, Alissia,  Amazon Music, SONA, and She Is The Music. Being in that space—surrounded by powerful women and non-binary creatives from all over—was affirming while also inspiring me to grow and get even better at my craft. It was my first time going to a writing camp outside of Florida and it was such a wonderful experience. Then on May 21, “Do Whatever” hit streaming platforms. The song is soft, sweet, a little flirty—but at the root, it’s about my experience of finally feel safe enough in a relationship to fully step into my feminine. It’s about softness, surrender, and sensuality

And just a week later, My man G Bliz and I dropped “Satisfied”—a nostalgic slow jam that feels like a 1980s prom night . It’s also the first song he and I have released together. A lot of firsts <3 Two songs, two sides of me, both rooted in real love.

And now for the craziest update of all.. IM GOING ON TOURRRRR…  If you didn’t know, I’m opening for Isaiah Falls & Luxury Lane for the North American dates on the LVRS ONLY TOUR starting July 4th in Toronto. 15 shows. 30 days. I’ve been dreaming of going on tour since I was a teenager. I loved seeing tour documentaries of artists I loved and would imagine when I got to experience it as well. Even though its not my own headlining tour (Yet) its still a dream come true and best believe ill be documenting the whole thing!! 

Currently , I’m focused on getting aligned—mind, body, and spirit. Vocal training. Breathwork. Strengthening my stamina. Tending to my mental health. Truth be told, after a month of travel.. Ive got some bouncing back to do and I want to be able to look my best, feel my best, and give my all on that stage every night . Im hoping I get to see some of your lovely faces in the crowd! 

Anyways, thank you for being here. For seeing me. For streaming the songs, showing up at events, reposting, texting, buying from my site, or just sending love when I needed it most! You’ve been such a huge part of this, whether you know it or not.
